TOMAHAWK (WKOW) -- Two separate fires in central Wisconsin left a woman dead and a downtown Tomahawk business destroyed.
The first fire happened at a home in the town of Bradley Monday. Firefighters tried to revive the 77-year-old woman found in the home. She was transported to the hospital where she later died.
Another fire Monday in Tomahawk destroyed a family-owned book shop. The tenants who lived above the store were able to escape safely.
According to reports by the Wausau Daily Herald, a restaurant and apartments next door sustained some smoke damage.
