WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- A Senate committee says the Pentagon is not fully complying with a request for documents related to last year's shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee demanded the Department of Defense share specific documents and witnesses about the deadly incident by Tuesday morning, saying they want to be sure the Pentagon is working to prevent a similar incident.
The Pentagon says it will provide some but not all of the materials requested, claiming they could jeopardize prosecution of the suspect, Major Nidal Hasan.
Committee spokeswoman Leslie Phillips says that "as far as we're concerned they have not complied with the subpoena," and says the panel is considering its next move.
