ATHENS (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin toddler is dead, four days after he was scalded by hot water over most of his body.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says 2-year-old Jeremiah Gossett was pronounced dead at his home in Athens Wednesday.
Officials says the boy received medical treatment after he was scalded on his arm, neck and torso Saturday.
Jeremiah was the youngest of eight children in the Gossett family.
The Wausau Daily Herald says an investigation into the death is under way.
