MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- When you think of people performing amazing feats of strength, you don't usually think of computer programmers.

But they proved everyone wrong Saturday at the World's Mightiest Programmer competition, also known as the WIMP games.

It happened at Fireman's Park in Middleton, where eight people competed.

They had to throw a 30-pound monitor filled with cement, drag a 160-pound computer server 50 feet on a sled, and flip a 600-pound tire.

Organizers are hoping to make the WIMP games an annual event.
