LOUISIANA (WKOW)--The oil spill continues to grow and spread in the Gulf of Mexico and Sunday, a federal official said BP is running out of chances to stop it.
The oil company says the tube put in the leak to siphon oil to the surface is collecting less than before and that the next attempt at stopping the leak won't come until Tuesday.
The U-S Interior Secretary says BP's continued failure won't be tolerated much longer.
Louisiana Governor. Bobby Jindal says the state is not waiting for federal approval to protect its shores.
He says the state will begin building sand barriers to protect the coastline from the oil spill.
