JAMAICA (WKOW) -- The Jamaican government has declared a state of emergency as gangsters battle security forces in the West Kingston.
The area is considered the stronghold of a reputed drug lord.
On Sunday, masked men defending Christopher "Dudus" Coke, traded fire with security forces in an area of barricaded slums.
Coke is facing possible extradition to the U.S. on drug and arms trafficking charges.
One police station was torched Sunday and another came under heavy fire from gangsters armed with high powered guns, wounding two security officers
