UN calling for investigation of Israel's deadly ship raid
NEW YORK (WKOW) -- The United Nations Security Council is calling for an impartial investigation of Israel's deadly raid on an aid ship.
Israel had hoped for an orderly naval interception but it turned into a major diplomatic crisis. Nine pro-Palestinian activists were killed and dozens more hurt. Now anti-Israel protests are going on around the world. People onboard the ship say it was a massacre of innocent peace protesters.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was scheduled to meet with President Obama Tuesday at the White House, but he's now at home, trying to deal with the growing international crisis.
