Militant group announces death of Al-Qaeda's number three
WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- U.S. officials say Al-Qaeda's number three has been killed.
Mustafa Abu Al Yazid was killed by a CIA drone about ten days ago. The CIA had been hunting him for year, ever since he was introduced as Al-Qaeda's chief of operation for the entire region. Al Yazid was considered the go-between for Osama Bin Laden and the rest of the Al-Qaeda network.
His death was announced on the Internet by Al-Qaeda's so-called General Command.
Back in 2008, Al Yazid had been reported dead, but this is the first time his death has been acknowledged by the militant group on the Internet.
