BARABOO (WKOW) -- A good turnout at a local fundraiser is helping a long-time staple in the Baraboo community.
Circus World has raised an estimated $170,000 from its annual Circus of Chefs event.
The fundraiser held earlier this month attracted more than 500 supporters to the tourist attraction in Baraboo.
The event featured food and beverages from 32 restaurants, breweries and vineyards in south central Wisconsin.
Money raised will help pay for Circus World's general operations and summer performances.
The Circus World Museum opened in 1959 on the site that served as the winter home of the Ringling brothers' circus from 1884 to 1918. Its permanent collection includes the world's largest collection of authentic circus wagons, a circus train exhibit, and a library and research center.
