SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WKOW) -- A 3-year-old Sheboygan boy is safe on shore after coast guard officials rescued him on Lake Michigan.
Kayden Lee was with his family at the lake when his pool toy and him were blown away from the shore around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family was unable to get to him as the wind pushed the boy and the inflatable dolphin he was riding about 200 yards from shore.
Coast guard members launched a 25-foot rescue boat within a minute of the 911 call. They found the boy straddling the pool toy and clinging to its handles.
The boy was pulled from the lake unhurt.
