MADRID (WKOW) -- At least 12 people are dead and several others are injured after they were run over by a train in Spain.
A Spanish official says a long-distance train passing through the station in Castelldefels, a town near Barcelona, hit a group of people crossing the tracks just before midnight Wednesday.
According to officials, the commuters had just gotten off of a commuter train and crossed over the tracks located above ground, instead of using the designated tunnel underneath.
