Family, friends, fans remember Michael Jackson

LOS ANGELES (WKOW) -- Fans around the world will commemorate Michael Jackson on the first anniversary of his death.

Law enforcement agencies in the Los Angeles area are expecting throngs of fans at the late pop star's mausoleum. Barricades are set up nearby. Extra security is also patrolling Jackson's estate in Encino, California.

Paramedics were called to Jackson's rented mansion just after noon on June 25, 2009. His physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, had failed to resuscitate him after he was found unconscious. Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 PDT. He was 50 years old.

Jackson's death was ruled a homicide. Dr. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in his death. He is accused of administering a lethal dose of the sedative propofol to Jackson.

WKOW will air the 20/20 special "Michael Jackson: After Life" Friday at 8 PM.
