MADISON (WKOW) -- Fireworks, food, and lots of fun. The 18th annual Rhythm and Booms Celebration is on Saturday, and crews were hard at work setting up this afternoon.
Rhythm and Booms is the largest fireworks show in the Midwest, featuring about 15,000 fireworks.
Fireworks specialists started setting up Sunday, and will work ten hours each day to get all the explosives in place. They expect to finish Friday.
This year's event will feature the U.S. Army Golden Knights, a precision parachute team that will perform two jumps on Saturday.
"The second jump with the Golden Knights is 9:10 pm, right before the fireworks," said Deb McCue, one of the event's organizers.
"It'll be dark, they'll be wearing pyrotechnics on their feet. It's going to look like meteors coming and landing in the park."
