WISCONSIN DELLS (WKOW) -- UW Hospital officials confirm the 12-year-old girl injured in a thrill ride accident in Wisconsin Dells Friday is in critical condition.
Hospital officials identified the girl as Teagan Marti.
Extreme World, home of the malfunctioning Free Fall ride, reopened Sunday.
WISCONSIN DELLS (WKOW) -- Lake Delton Police on Saturday say they're planning to release updated information about the free fall ride accident.
The update should come sometime Saturday afternoon. WKOW will have the latest information on 27 News at 6:00 and 10:00, as well as wkow.com.
UW Hospital hasn't released any information about the girl's condition.
It is unknown whether she is still alive, but a Lake Delton police officer who answered the phone on Saturday says the last he heard, she was alive.
WISCONSIN DELLS (WKOW) -- Lake Delton Police say the 12-year-old was severely injured in a free fall ride at Extreme World.
It happened about 11:50 a.m. Friday.
Lake Delton Police tell 27 News the free fall ride takes you up 40 feet and let you drop into a net. Police say the net was not high enough off the ground. She landed on her back and was severely injured. She was unconscious when she was taken by Medflight to UW Hospital. Police say the girl is from out of state and was with her parents and other relatives in Wisconsin Dells.
Police are not releasing her name and condition at this time.
The Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Sauk County Sheriff's Department are looking into the incident.
According to the Department of Commerce, inspectors checked the ride in June 2010 and found no safety violations.
The ride has never received a serious safety citation since the first inspection in 2004.
Commerce officials also say the operator maintained daily logs of its own safety inspections.
WISCONSIN DELLS (WKOW) -- Extreme World park in Wisconsin Dells has closed.
Lake Delton Police say the victim of a free fall ride accident at Extreme World is a young girl. Police say she was breathing and had a pulse on the MedFlight.
Extreme World was inspected on June 28, 2010 and there was no citations, according to the Commerce Department.
