MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin is one of 38 states receiving federal money for infrastructure projects that will expand broadband access in under served, rural areas. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, will make the announcement Wednesday.
This is the second round of USDA broadband funding made available through the Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and also includes some Native American tribal areas.
Other Midwest states receiving funding include Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Iowa.
