LAKE DELTON (WKOW) -- Lake Delton police officials said their investigation into a 12-year old girl's crash from one hundred feet during a thrill ride will be complete Thursday.
Police officials have said a 33-year old ride attendant failed to follow safety protocols as Teagan Marti fell onto the ground as she descended on the Terminal Velocity ride at Extreme World. Authorities said the attendant allowed the girl's descent before a landing platform net had been deployed.
Police officials declined to identify the ride attendant. Police Chief Thomas Dorner also did not respond to questions on whether the ride attendant was impaired in any away at the time of girl's crash.
Marti's father said the girl faces surgeries and extended medical care and can only move one hand at this time.
Police officials said their investigative reports will be turned over to Sauk County District Attorney Patricia Barrett, who will review them and decide whether any criminal charges are appropriate.
