Hartford Distributors remember victims of deadly shooting
MANCHESTER, Conn. (WKOW) -- Employees of Hartford Distributors, Inc. took some time to remember the lives of nine victims in a shooting rampage Wednesday morning.
Workers at the Connecticut beer distributor observed a moment of silence Wednesday after reopening 8 days after the shooting, receiving words of encouragement from the company president.
A week and a day ago, company driver Omar Thornton shot and killed eight people, injured two others and then killed himself after video evidence showed him stealing beer from his distributing company. He was then asked to resign.
It was the nation's most deadly shooting rampage since the mass shooting at the Fort Hood military base on November 5, 2009.
