DANE COUNTY (WKOW) -- An oil leak backed up traffic on Interstate 90 in Madison during the afternoon rush.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says a semi ruptured its fuel tank on eastbound I-90 close to where it crosses the Beltline. It happened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Crews had to shut down one lane of the highway to clean things up.
Both lanes were able to reopen about an hour and a half later.
DANE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Dane County officials say they've received a report of a semi leaking fuel on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 144.
The State Patrol says traffic is expected to be backed up for about an hour. The semi with a ruptured fuel tank is on the shoulder and the freeway is only 2 lanes at that location. Cars are moving over from right lane into lane one, resulting in delays.
