MADISON (WKOW) -- According to Madison Police incident reports, a customer, who had run-up a $100 tab at Hooters, 2639 East Springs Drive, ended his night by trying to rob the bar & grill.
Police say the customer told the manger that he had a bomb in his backpack and that he wanted her car keys and all the money from the till. Earlier, he had refused to close out his tab as a waitress, who had served him, looked to go off the clock. Instead of giving the man keys or cash, the manager promptly went over to the phone and dialed 911. The man then left Hooters on foot, leaving his backpack and bar bill behind. The backpack had personal items, no explosives.
The suspect is described as a male, white, 40 to 50 years old, 5'10", medium build, light brown close-cropped hair, scar on neck and upper right temple area, wearing light khaki shorts, and a blue & white plaid shirt.
