MADISON (WKOW) -- Commuter rail is approaching Madison but not everyone is ready to hop onboard with this idea.
The Great Train Robbery group is holding a rally Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. to protest the commuter rail project, calling it "the most costly public works project in the history of Dane County."
Meanwhile, plenty of city and county leaders praise the idea of commuter rail, saying it will increase residents' ability to get to work in a fast, cheap and environmentally friendly way.
27 News' Jamie Hersch is attending the rally at John Nolen Drive and Blair Street and will have a full report on 27 News at 10.
