MIAMI, FL (WKOW) -- Teagan Marti's parents opened up about their daughter's condition.
They showed new pictures Thursday from just before Teagan was dropped 100 feet to the ground from the Terminal Velocity ride at Extreme World.
Her parents say she's on a ventilator in intensive care now at a hospital in Miami. Teagan spent a month recovering at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison. On Wednesday, she was flown to Miami so she can recover closer to home.
Her mother says they're relying on Teagan's spirit and drive to take her through the recovery process.
"We wanted to brush her teeth she said 'I'll do it myself'," said Julie Marti. "Obviously she can't do it herself but the determination is there and that gives me a lot of hope."
Julie Marti says so far, they've only told Teagan the ride operators didn't catch her correctly, not the fact that she was dropped.
Authorities say a safety net was not in place when Teagan fell. Ride operator Charles Carnell faces a felony reckless injury charge in the case.
