A lot of excitement surrounded the annual Badger Family Fun Day at Camp Randall this year. That excitement was built by the successful season by the Badgers performance last year.
That excitement brought kids and adults acting like kids out to Family Fun Day.
The young ones seemed to enjoy the day more than the adults. They had a chance to meet their favorite Badgers, which for many of them was Bucky Badger. For others, it was the cheerleading squad.
Long lines were riddled with kids to get autographs and pictures on a hot Saturday in Camp Randall. The longest of those lines belonged to John Clay and Bucky.
There were other activities for kids to participate in. They could get their ankle or wrist wrapped by the sports medicine, try on pads or hold some of the football trophies.
The highlight of the day might have been from Gabe Carimi. A friend of his brought a tiny baby, dressed in a homemade Carimi #68 shirt. Then the big question came, "Will you sign the baby?"
It was actually just the infant's shirt, but still a touching , yet funny moment to cap off Family Fun Day.
