UPDATE: Baraboo police arrest sexual assault suspect


BARABOO (WKOW) -- The Baraboo Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a stranger sexual assault that happened Sept. 8.

A 21-year-old female told police she was forced into a parking lot and assaulted shortly after five a.m.

Police say following news reports they received key information from citizens which prompted many leads and an arrest in this case.

Tommie N. Lacy, 24, is in custody.   Lacy had been staying in the City of Baraboo for a short time; however, resides in Madison, WI.

Lacy has been arrested for one count of 2nd degree felony sexual assault and is currently incarcerated in the Waukesha County Jail.


BARABOO (WKOW) -- Police in Baraboo are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman early Wednesday morning.

Officers got a report of the assault around 5:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Ash Street.  A 21-year-old woman told officers she was assaulted in a nearby parking lot.  She said the man walked past her and then grabbed her from behind and forced her into the parking lot.

The suspect is described as… 

  • Black male
  • Early 20's
  • 5'10" – 6'
  • Fine, curly portions of facial hair above and below the lips
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a grey pullover type sweatshirt with "WISCONSIN" in red letters across the chest area and long darker colored pants
  • Deep voice
