MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison-based U.S. Army Reserve soldier was found dead at Fort McCoy Sunday afternoon.
Fort McCoy's public affairs office tells 27 News the soldier was there for weekend training when the soldier was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead.
The soldier belonged to the 826th Ordnance Company based in Madison, part of the 646th Area Support Group.
The soldier's name, gender and status in the Army has not been released, pending family notification.
The death remains under investigation.
