NEW YORK (WKOW) -- The American hiker freed after being detained in Iran for more than a year has returned to the United States.
She arrived Sunday morning on her way to New York for a news conference later Sunday, according to a spokeswoman.
Shourd, her fiance and a friend were accused of being spies after allegedly crossing into Iran.
Shourd was released Tuesday for health reasons. Officials in Oman mediated a $500,000 bail.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is also expected in New York on Sunday.
