MADISON (WKOW)-- Governor Jim Doyle has declared a state of emergency for Jackson County, in addition to Clark and Trempealeau Counties.
Black River Falls has also declared a state of emergency. Up to 80 homes are being evacuated near the river. The Red Cross set up a shelter at United Methodist Church. About 14 people are staying there this evening.
There are multiple road closures around the state due to flooded roads. The Wisconsin DOT website has more information.
MADISON (WKOW)-- Governor Jim Doyle declared a state of emergency in Clark County following strong storms that caused flooding in the area.
Earlier today Governor Doyle declared a State of Emergency for Trempealeau County, which saw flooding from the same storms. The flooding forced the evacuation of downtown Arcadia in Trempealeau County, washed out roads and bridges, downed power lines and damaged infrastructure.
