MADISON (WKOW) -- State wildlife officials will offer a limited number of bird lovers a chance to spend an afternoon watching sandhill cranes.

The Department of Natural Resources plans a "Crane Watch Clinic" in the Gallagher Marsh in the Sandhill Wildlife Area near Babcock on Saturday, October 23.

Registration will be limited to the first 25 people. Observation hours will run from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.  DNR officials recommend camouflage clothes and waterproof boots.
