MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison 7-year-old Antonio Rieder has aplastic anemia. A bone marrow failure disease. Though he can manage it with transfusions, the only real cure is a transplant.
Back in January we talked with the family as they began to organize donor drives. Now Antonio is set to get his transplant in a few weeks.
The family's mission is far from over. They are now trying to raise money and get more donors to come out for the National Marrow Donor Registry.
Sunday, October 10th they are holding a soccer drive at Keva Sports Center in Middleton. The event starts a 9 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m.
