COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Department says five people were taken to the hospital after a motorcycle versus SUV crash in the town of West Point. Deputies were called to the scene just after 6:00 p.m. Friday.
According to a press release, a 2004 GMC Envoy, with five occupants and three dogs, was eastbound on STH 60 when it turned left in front of a westbound 2005 Harley Davidson, with two occupants.
The vehicles crashed near the entrance to Treinen Farm Store.
The two occupants of the Harley Davidson were transported to UW hospital in Madison, one of them by Med flight. A passenger from the SUV was transported to the UW Hospital and two others from the SUV were transported to Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the motorcycle is a 52-year-old male from Hartford, WI. The driver of the SUV is a 49-year-old female from Fitchburg, WI.
Names are being withheld pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
