Six people hurt in town of Deerfield crash


DEERFIELD (WKOW) --  A two-car crash in the town of Deerfield left six people hurt Saturday.

It happened on Highway 12 East in the town of Deerfield a little before 8 PM.

Dane County dispatch says six people were hurt, but none with serious injuries.

They say a 2005 Volkswagen, driven by April C. Prusia, 35, of Cottage Grove, was rear-ended by a 1998 Buick Lesabre driven by Laverne F. Tiffany, 86, of Ft. Atkinson.

Traffic through this portion of roadway was down to one lane for approximately an hour.

There were three passengers in Prusia's vehicle, Lori A. Hansen, 49, of Dewitt IA, Gail S. Goldensoph, 51, Dewitt IA, and Terrie L. Lasche, 47, Dewitt IA. Laverne Tiffany had one passenger with him, his wife, Margurie J. Tiffany, 85, of Fort Atkinson.

 All six were wearing their seatbelts. All six were transported to the UW Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were no serious injuries. Alcohol was not involved in the crash. Deputies say Laverne Tiffany will be cited for Inattentive Driving.
