SAU PAULO (WKOW) -- Authorities say a bus transporting people back from a sports festival for special needs athletes fell from a bridge into a river in southeastern Brazil, killing 11 and injuring nearly 30.
Police say the bus driver had brake problems and lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid another bus on a bridge near the small city of Carbonita on Sunday.
Minas Gerais state police released a statement that said the bus was carrying disabled people attending a sporting event in the region.
It was unclear whether or not disabled people were among the dead.
