OSHKOSH (WKOW) -- Republican Senator-elect Ron Johnson says he deserves more credit than he's getting for his 31 years of business experience.
Johnson said Wednesday he may not have political experience, but his experience as a successful accountant and small business owner makes him just as qualified as anyone to be a U.S. Senator.
Johnson beat incumbent Sen. Russ Feingold in Tuesday's midterm election, denying Feingold a fourth term in Washington.
The Senator-elect is president of a private plastics firm in Oshkosh called PACUR.
Johnson says his top priorities are to restore fiscal sanity in Washington and also repeal the federal health care reform law. He also says he hopes President Barack Obama got the message from voters that it's time for change in Washington.
