MADISON (WKOW) -- Flight attendants at Delta Air Lines Inc. are going non-union.
Delta flight attendants rejected the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA in election results released on Wednesday.
Almost 48 percent of flight attendants voted to join the union. But they needed a majority.
Delta flight attendants were all non-union before the airline bought Northwest Airlines in 2008. Now that Delta and Northwest are one airline, the vote was to sort out whether the union would represent all of the flight attendants, or none of them.
Delta Airlines fly's out of both Madison and Milwaukee.
