MADISON (WKOW) -- Union leaders say 600 Marinette Marine employees will be furloughed this Thursday and Friday, and up to 250 more workers could be laid off starting December 4th, according to ABC affiliate WBAY in Green Bay.
The TV station reports Marinette CEO, Richard McCreary, calls the layoffs temporary. He also pointed out Marinette's multi-billion dollar contract to build ten combat ships for the Navy has been delayed and is still pending approval in Congress.
