Two-year-old killed after falling 30 feet at L.A. Lakers game
LOS ANGELES (WKOW) -- Family and friends are mourning the death of a 2-year-old who died at an L.A. Lakers game.
Authorities say the boy was with his family at the Staples Center arena Sunday night when he got over a glass safety barrier of a skybox and plunged about 30 feet into the seats below. He died later at a hospital.
The coroner says the body of Lucas Anthony Tang will be examined to determine the cause of death.
Staples owner AEG has not said exactly how high the barrier is, but a city building and safety spokesman says the arena complies with codes requiring barriers to be at least 26 inches high.
