California man accused of threatening to kill president
SAN FRANCISCO (WKOW) – An indictment filed by a federal grand jury accuses a Northern California man of sending a letter threatening to kill President Barack Obama.
Court documents say Roger Hudnall,54, of Eureka made the threat in a letter mailed Jan. 7, 2009.
The documents do not show whether Hudnall has an attorney. He is currently in state custody on another conviction, according to the indictment.
The San Francisco Chronicle says Hudnall previously served federal prison time for mailing a threatening letter with white powder to the FBI's San Francisco office in 2002. The white substance was baby powder.
