IOTA, La. (WKOW) -- Forecasters say possible tornadoes in southwest Louisiana and western Tennessee have damaged more than two dozen homes, but no one has been injured.
Winds damaged roofs and uprooted trees just before 11 p.m. on Thursday in Louisiana, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Rua. A barn in west Tennessee was destroyed and a half-dozen homes were damaged in Gibson County.
Sheriff Chuck Arnold says residents reported seeing a funnel cloud at about 2 p.m. on Thursday.
A strong cold front has brought rain and wind across the Southeast.
Meteorologists are going to the damaged areas to see if it was caused by tornadoes or strong winds.
