GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Two Green Bay police officers were hurt Wednesday night after a crowd erupted in violence on the city's east side.
Lt. Paul Lewis says officers went tot he house to investigate a stabbing of a 16-year-old girl from earlier in the night. Lt. Lewis says when officers went inside the house, they were attacked by a large group of people.
No serious injuries were reported but Lt. Lewis says one officer was kicked in the face and another was kicked in the head. More than a dozen squad cars were sent to the scene.
Police used pepper spray and a taser to calm the suspects. Seven people were arrested.
