WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -- The White House announced late Tuesday morning that President Barack Obama is planning a trip to Wisconsin this month.
The White House says the President will be in Manitowoc on Wednesday, January, 26.
Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels says the White House told him the President will be speaking about the economy. He says he's hoping Obama will highlight companies doing well like Orion Energies, Tower Tech and Skana Aluminum.
People who live there say they're excited about the upcoming visit.
Nickels leaves Wednesday for a Mayor's Conference in Washington D.C., so he says he will meet with White House officials to discuss the visit.
