New Holstein superintendent arrested for child sex crime
NEW HOLSTEIN (WKOW)-- A Calumet Country school district is searching for a new district administrator following the arrest of its superintendent.
New Holstein superintendent Christopher Nelson was arrested for trying to facilitate a child sex crime. According the criminal complaint, Nelson tried to set up a meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a 15-year-old-boy.
Nelson faces up to 40 years if convicted.
The New Holstein School Board will meet Tuesday to appoint an interim district administrator.
