MADISON (WKOW) -- In reaction to Governor Scott Walker's State of the State speech, Democratic Rep. Kelda Helen Roys, of Madison, called for real solutions and creative thinking -- not hollow rhetoric.
"In his first month in office, Governor Walker gave away more than $810 million awarded to Wisconsin to build high-speed rail, killed thousands of jobs, and is now attempting to crush clean energy manufacturing – investments worth over a billion dollars. Wisconsin workers deserve better than empty promises and publicity stunts. Our state's prosperity and quality of life depend on Walker changing course and taking steps to promote, instead of prevent, economic innovation and job creation."
