ARLINGTON, TX (WKOW) -- 400 fans who thought they'd be sent home after buying Super Bowl tickets, were taken inside the stadium to watch the game on monitors in the North Field Club behind the Pittsburgh bench.
They also had the option of viewing the game from standing room platforms in each corner of the stadium.
400 fans were originally going to be sent home and 850 fans were given somewhere else to sit earlier Sunday, because their seats were deemed unsafe.
The NFL will refund the 400 fans watching on monitors or from standing platforms a refund of triple the cost of the face value of their ticket. The face value of these tickets is $800.
The NFL released a statement, saying at the end, "We regret the situation and apologize for the inconvenience it caused. We will conduct a full review of this matter."
ARLINGTON, Texas (WKOW) -- Some fans at Cowboys Stadium had to change their Super Bowl plans.
Those turned away will be given a refund of triple the face value by the NFL -- however, $2,700 for $900 tickets may not be enough for folks who paid much more to scalpers, not to mention travel and hotel costs.
