MADISON (WKOW) -- A group of Democratic Assembly members walked to Gov. Walker's office to try to talk to him about ways to end the impasse over his budget repair bill.
They were met by Mike Huebsch, secretary of Walker's Department of Administration. Walker's spokesman Cullen Werwie says the governor did not meet with the lawmakers.
MADISON (WKOW) -- Assembly Democratic leaders have left a closed door meeting and marched to the Governor's office saying they would try to talk to Governor Walker about a proposal to break this political log-jam.
Assembly minority leader Peter Barca would only say that the plan focuses on fiscal items and strips policy out of the discussion.
Barca says it is time for the two sides to come together to come to some sort of an agreement on the budget deficit fix.
Assembly Democratic leaders are waiting in a packed East wing corridor near the Governor's office to determine if Walker will meet with them.
