MADISON (WKOW) -- UW's Board of Regents met to discuss spinning off the Madison campus from the rest of the system.
Chancellor Biddy Martin told the board it was all about flexibility and the cost of saving the change could bring about.
Chancellor Martin said in a perfect world, every campus would have its own authority, but starting with UW-Madison was a good beginning.
Some of the Regents seemed skeptical of the move, saying it might have a negative effect on the rest of the universities.
