GUATEMALA (WKOW)-- Southern Wisconsin has proven time and time again its generosity.
And that generosity goes well beyond our borders.
We first introduced you to a couple from Verona last October.
Kim and Randy Tews started a non-profit to help children who are starving to death in Guatemala called Outreach for World Hope.
We wanted to see their work first hand.
27 News' Diana Henry and photographer Mike Kellogg traveled recently to Guatemala and brings us a series of reports and half-hour special.
Here's what just a couple of the volunteers had to say about their experience:
"They probably have no idea people live like this until they would come here on some type of a trip like this," said Tedd Cash.
"We take a lot for granted," said Alfredo Rodriguez. "This sets perspective on things."
Join 27 News as we follow 25 local volunteers as they help the less fortunate in Guatemala.
Stories air on Wednesday, March 2nd, on Wake Up Wisconsin, 27 News at 5, 27 News at 6, 27 News at 6:30, and 27 News at 10.
