MADISON (WKOW) -- Senate Republicans voted Wednesday to penalize each missing state Democratic senator 100 dollars per day for their continuing absence, restrict senate staff budgets and empower the senate's sergeant at arms to use any law enforcement officer in Wisconsin to compel the missing Senators return.
The Senators have been in Illinois to avoid a vote on Gov. Walker's budget repair bill.
The penalties could begin as early as Friday.
Republicans have already withheld the checks of missing Democrats from direct deposit and denied access to copying machines for their staff.
