MADISON (WKOW) -- The budget proposed by Gov. Scott Walker would undo a state law that requires insurance companies to cover prescription birth control.
The current state law was signed in 2009 by Walker's Democratic predecessor Gov. Jim Doyle and went into effect last year, after a decade of advocacy by Democrats.
The mandate had been opposed by anti-abortion groups and Catholics but supported by Planned Parenthood and public health groups.
