MADISON (WKOW) -- The Capitol opened at 8 a.m. Monday, maintaining normal business hours. People are entering the Hamilton Street entrance.
Signs that covered walls on all levels of the Capitol, in nearly all areas, have been removed.
The Department of Administration is working to preserve the signs, saying many of them may go to the State Historical Society or the Smithsonian. Some people have expressed the desire to get their signs back. The DOA says it's also working to design how the sign return will work.
