MADISON (WKOW) -- Longtime Democratic State Senator Fred Risser, of Madison, said he was outraged and released the following statement regarding access at the Capitol building:
"I have spent my entire career working to ensure that the Wisconsin State Capitol remains a house of the people.
The actions of today--the forced removal of peaceful activists and refusal of entry to those elected by the people--are further proof that the administration is focused on its political benefactors and not on the people of Wisconsin.
It is a dark day in Wisconsin. The people have been abandoned by the Governor and the majority in the Legislature."
