MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Officials are having trouble with cleanliness in Milwaukee. It seems residents need a little more persuasion to keep their lawns and yards picked up. So, officials at Milwaukee's Department of Neighborhood Services plan to write citations for those residents who fail to clean up their yards.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and other city officials will be out Tuesday cleaning up garbage to help motivate residents to do the same.
In a news release, Barrett says if the public pitches in to clean up garbage during the spring thaw, it saves the city's limited resources.
